And I thought I loved him "Then"....

A while ago I aquired a liking, okay more like obsession for Brad Paisley. I find him soooo attractive and love his songs. Well just this past weekend I went to the one and only Brad Paisley concert! I already know this blog just won't do it justice but I'll give it my best shot. I went with the best people possible-my mom and Mara. We decided to make a huge girls weekend out of it and I have been looking forward to it for months. no exaggeration. We headed off to the Big SLC with just a enough travel time to make it to the pre concert show....
Well we got there without a camera. I know, I was upset needless to say but also very thankful for technology that travels with me on my cellular device. First off let me tell you who was there: of course Brad, Darius Rucker, Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, and Steel Magnolia. Jammed packed of amazing people! So when we finally got there we found out that Easton had already played... Well for those of you who know, besides Brad I absolutely love Easton so let's say I was a little upset.. As we were watching Steel Magnolia I could see him just chilling by his bus in the shade. My crazy mom walked right up to the security guard and told him her daughter really wanted to meet Easton, what did we have to do. He said you had to have a VIP pass but he would be out in about a half hour to sign autographs and they wouldn't check for a pass, he said he shouldn't have told us and it was a secret... so we stood in line and met him! It was crazy! I stood right next to him! He is soooo good looking, can you imagine in person?! wow. yeah soooo attractive. He signed my shirt and my ticket.. and let's just say I 'm in love. I guess he missed the memo that we were supposed to get married?...

Here he is! Isn't he a babe?! Also please notice the Brad shirt that will probably never get washed... there is the famous Easton signature on the shoulder where his hand is.
After that fabulous, couldn't get better, start to the night we got a delicious smoothie and found our seats, which weren't bad at all we were pretty close. Slight down fall, big huge beer bellied drunk man came and sat right down in front of us. Yeah the show hadn't even started and he was waaaasssted. Justin Moore got the party started with his redneck twang, which me and Mar love. Is it bad that I'm attracted to that?... Next Darius Rucker took the stage all relaxed and chill. He has an amazing voice and was so good live.
Finally, the moment we were all waiting for! Brad Paisley made a huge entrance and capture my complete attention for two more hours. Holy cow, I can't even express how good he was. He has so many hits every song was one you just wanted to belt out. He was honestly concerned about giving us a good concert and making it worth out money. About half way through the concert he walked down through the crowd like 10 feet away from us and went and played on a stage in the back. He said that when he was young he always sat in the back and so he thought he would come sing to them for a while. He is just so down to earth and so fun! He made a concert with thousands of people feel personal. Oh and also throughout all of this the our drunk friend kissed several people and almost squashed my mom several times.. we were a little worried. Oh concerts, aren't they great! So I considered myself a pretty big fan... "I thought I loved him then..." (one of his songs if you aren't aware) no. I didn't. Now. yes. I would go again in a heartbeat! front row next time though :)
All day Saturday we shopped... literally alll day. It was very successfull and by the time we were done my mom had gone back to her model days and shown us her "runway walk" in the middle of Dillards where Mara layed on the floor, literally full out sprawl. Oh and right before that me and my mom wrestled on a display bed in JCPenny. We were tired... I wouldn't have shared this weekend with anyone else and am really sad it's over.. I've been looking forward to it forever.
Here are some random things I want to remember so you can skip this if ya want:
My mom screaming "Who are you?! Why are you in my bed?" at me in the middle of the night because she thought I was a creeper...
Our room smelling like a burnt toaster and having to switch rooms at 3 in the morning.

Mara determined to get us out the parking lot even if it meant having a huge dent in the side of the car, road rage runs in the family...

Eating cheesecake and midnight while laying in bed :)

I love them :)

Nexxttt.

I don't even know where to start. SO much has changed over the last few weeks..... a few important items of business:
I traded the oh so faithful Rhonda in for this little number...

LOVE! words can't describe... especially after driving a mini van ha. A name is badly needed but yet to come...

NEXXT- I MOVED OUT!! I absolutely love the freedom of having my own place but also love being two min away from home :) Let me tell you a little about my five fabulous fun roomies:

Kierra- no one could ask for a better roommate. It has been alot easier than I even though it was going to be. We both decided we are going to forget how to communicate while living with each other due to the way we can read each others minds. We say alot of "you know" "and" "yup" "uh huh I know what you mean" or sometimes we don't even use words... just eye contact! haha We are enough alike and enough totally different that everything is working out great! We are both getting used to twin beds, a scetchy toilet, and preying manti (plural?) in our room. It really is a great story. She also loves to sleep with the blanket she got we she was born (wubby) wrapped around her head like a mummy and research weird things like if your lips get chappy from kissing at 1 AM! She is so sweet and always makes sure I'm hangin in there. nexxtt...

Kelli- this little darlin is from the big SLC! she loves to play sports.. especially swimming and waterpolo so you can imagine we get along ;) We joke that she knows everyone in our whole complex.. this one is a social butterfly! There is always some new "friend" in our living room which we all love! She has the most infectious smile and laugh. .... she wakes up naturally at 7! yeah... needless to say she usually has the mornings by herself. nexxtt....

Haleigh- Alaskan Made! So you can imagine we've had to show her around the small town of Cedar including going to the Rodeo, seeing a deer... and a plig. She is so petite and cute but don't let that fool you she is sarcastically blunt which can catch you off guard and always keeps us laughing. Plus she always has some new alaska thing for us... don't you dare say snowmobling around her.. it's snow MACHINING! nexxtt...

Paige- oh :) she has luscious flowing brown curly locks and is as skinny as a twig! Paige is always so sincere and truly cares about how your day was or if something is wrong. Sometimes things slip by her... but she figures them out eventually. haha in the mean time we have fun with our blonde roomie. It is also not uncommon to hear her snort everytime she laughs. She absolutely loves bean burritos at Taco Time... and is concerned about us smelling her waste through the vent. Love her! nexxtt...

Kortney- Paige's twin according to everyone at SW... Kort is tiny. everything about her. She is a doll! She always quietly mocks people and it's absolutely hilarious. She is a little homemaker although she maybe doesn't show it, she makes blankets, bread, and pizza pockets out of 5 rolls... she has the cutest style and loves to watch any of the latest youtube... (our apt theme-linkin park rapist go check it out if you haven't already, we can sing you the whole song). She also is really good at getting out of going to dinner with our creeper "friend" Bill who is 25. yes we all hated her that night. Her gorgeous blue eyes and her new smile make everyone swoon.

I love all of these girls and we always have a blast together! We especially love to watch chick flicks that leave us alll sniffling in the end. I can't wait for the other adventures that lie ahead.. They are the BEST!

Me Haliegh and Kelli at the Fair :)

College life is fabulous! I'm finally getting used to school and like it alot more than high school. nexxtt...

Last but not least... I am a librarian!
alright fine I'm not that official but I am currently imployed at the SUU Gerald Sherratt Library (not to be confused with Liberry) It is the best job I could ask for! The hours are amazing and not to mention it's a prime place to watch all the fine men on the computers without being a complete creep. I love being surrounded by books and the quiet calming mood of the library. Thanks to Lynae this was made possible :) I love it!!

Oh and nexxtt..I'm going to be seeing alot of this...

at my very last livestock show ever this weekend!

11 Days and Counting.

That's right ladies and gentlemen (okay let's get real, no gentlemen read this... not very many ladies either.. hm oh well ;)) I am moving out in 11 DAYS! Not to far from home, but I couldn't be more excited! We went and looked at the apartment today and it's just as cute as I remembered. Our roommates all look darling and I can't wait to meet them all! I think we lucked out ;)Alot of changes will be going down in the next couple of weeks... bring them on! As for now I'm busy attempting to make a quilt and things to make our little home as cute as ever!

Just a little info for ya: We (Me, my mom, and Mara) purchased our Brad Paisley tickets yesterday. Can you say STOKED?! yup. I can.

Just a little update...

So... summer is already flying by! Where has the time gone... and more importantly what have I done to consume my time?.. Well here are just a few:

Mexico!
Best trip of my life. We spent all day most days on the BEACH! Just baksing in the hot mexican sun,or enjoying pinneaple popsicles from the cute little man pushing his freezer thing, or taking walks on the beach in the day or night, or riding some sick waves on the little floaty, or attempting to paddle out farther than 2 feet in the kyack or little boat to end up laughing our heads off as we slip gracefully into the water after hitting each other in the head with the oars (Saryn and I could teach you the tricks of being graceful 24/7 ;) the boys were impressed to say the least, or searching a 5 mile radius for sand dollars (we were very successfull!). We also ventured into town to go shopping for the famous mexican jewelery and enjoy a night at the delicious Chicken Shack. We stayed in a gorgeous beach house just right off the beach that made the time we spent indoors very enjoyable. Oh... and us girls might have had a memorable nightly adventure in our towels if you catch my hint ;)

The group :)

ANTM... yeah we were all recruited thanks for asking.

I couldn't figure out how to turn this... but this is our house

raft adventures...

Next, The Queen of the Dairy

yes I am currently employed here. haha laugh if you please, let's just say that I'm really glad I'm going to college so I don't have to work here the rest of my life... although it is nice that I just work up front so I don't have to flip burgers or anything, just take orders and make ice cream. The crew is so nice and everyone is so willing to help my inexperienced self learn all the tricks!

Next, SW. for you gangstas like myself or for those of you less educated it is called Stadium Way. I am officially moving out in August to a super cute little apartment right by SUU with my darling friend Kierra Dotson! We will be living with four other strangers.. which we are nervous about but thats what college is all about right? SW is fully equipped with a sand volleyball court, a large hot tub, free tanning beds, and a clubhouse with big screen TV's, pool table etc. As for the actual apartments we have all that we will need and can't even wait to move in! I'm so excited to decorate it and have my own little space, plus the atmosphere seems great and we are so ready to party ;)

Well, thats the latest... many summer adventues still to come :)

I LOVE SUMMER!!

It's Official

I am a high school graduate!
And Seminary...
That seems so crazy to say but thank heavens it is true! I don't think it has hit me yet that I am not going back, but I absolutely can't wait to start on the future! Senior year was so unexpectedly the best year of high school. At the beginning I wanted to drop out because all my friends had graduated... but of course things worked out :) I was able to meet some new people and get really close to friends I otherwise wouldn't have. We established our little group and did absolutely everything together, we had so many good memories. And this is just the beginning... I can't wait for all the new exciting memories to come! I'm going to (sort of) miss good ole Cedar High.. but as for now tata Home of the Redmen!

School's out for SUMMER!

I'm looking forward to alot of this....

while in MEXICO!!!

With all of them....

And a few more :)

We leave four A.M. tomorrow morn! Beach in t minus 18 hours!

For the Love of the Game

Well, for those of you who don't know, I love softball. Really love it! I've played it ever since I was somewhat capable to hit a ball off of a tee. It has filled my spring, summer, and all the other months just preparing for season for 14 years. And now, my love affair with this sport is being forced to end... Well alright not my love for it but my chance to play it. Next weekend is the State Tournament of my Senior year. Then just like that, it's over. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a pastime that has added so much to my life and the person I am. My senior season has rocked! So here's to the end.... No excuses. No regrets. Every pitch like it's the last. Or in Coach Steve Jensen's words "Play like your hair is on fire! Leave it all on the field."

Country Music.

Okay. I LOVE it. period. It's quite simple. I love country music. There isn't one thing about it I don't just absolutely adore. I don't know if it is it's way of telling a story of a country life, the hot men who sing it, or that fact that it's what I've grown up on but I just never get tired of it. There is nothing better than jamming out to some good old country music where ever you are! I love relating to it and then secretly (or openly) wanting to marry every single country man! Don't worry Brad (yes I'm on a first name basis), I'm still holding out for you even though you are married... and Easton you too :) Oh and course Carrie is the best there is. the end.

What's not to love?
